Hi everyone!. Here's my version of Cereal Butter Prawns recipe. Made this dish last night for dinner. I prefer to cook prawns with shells on as the shells add flavor to the prawn's meat. Apart from adding flavor to the meat, the shell protects the meat from overcooking and help them to stay moist.
How to devein prawns without removing the shells?
With a pair of kitchen scissors, cut through the prawns shells along the top back and then make a shallow slit along the back of each prawn through the opening. Pinch the vein between your fingers and pull the vein out gently. Rinse and drain well.

Ingredients for Cereal Butter Prawns👇
Ingredients A
(Bahan -bahan A)
1. Prawn - 1 kg, devein, rinse and drain well /
**(Udang - 1 kg, buang usus, cuci dan toskan)

Ingredients B
(Bahan-bahan B)
1. Egg white - from 1 egg, exclude egg yolk/
**(Putih telur - dari 1 biji telur, asingkan kuning telur)
2. Garlic powder - 1 tsp /
**(Serbuk bawang putih - 1 sdt)
3. Salt - to taste /
**(Garam - ikut citarasa)
4. Anchovy stock powder - to taste /
**(Serbuk Stok Ikan bilis - ikut citarasa)
5. All purpose flour - 2 tbsp /
**(Tepung serbaguna/gandum - 2 sdm)
6. Tapioca flour/Potato starch/Corn starch - 2 tbsp /
**(Tepung Ubi /Tepung kentang/Tepung Jagung - 2 sdm)
7). Turmeric Powder - 0.5 tsp /
**(Serbuk kunyit - 0.5 sdt)

Ingredients C - Dry Ingredients.
(Bahan-bahan C - bahan kering)
1. Nestum Cereal (original) - 12 tbsp/
**( Nestum original - 12 sdm)
2. Caster sugar - 5 tbsp or to taste /
**(Gula halus - 5 sdm atau ikut citarasa)
3. Instant Milk powder (any brand) - 3 tbsp/
(Susu Tepung Instant (apa - apa jenama) - 3 sdm)
4. Anchovy stock powder- 2 tsp /
(Serbuk Stok Ikan bilis - 2 sdt)
**Combine Ingredients C in a bowl, mix well and set aside.
**(Masukkan semua bahan C dalam satu bekas, gaul rata dan ketepikan).

Ingredients D
(Bahan-bahan D)
1. Butter - 4 tbsp /
**(Butter - 4 sdm)
2. Garlic - 4 cloves, diced/
**(Bawang putih - 4 ulas, potong dadu)
3. Chillies - 4 pcs, deseed if you want to make it less spicy, chopped /
**(Cili - 4 biji, buang biji kalau tak nak pedas, cincang halus)
4. Curry leaves - 2 sprigs, discard the stems/
**(Daun curry - 2 tangkai, ambil daun sahaja)

Method 👇
(Cara membuat 👇)
1). Place Ingredients A and B in a bowl. Mix well. Marinate for half an hour.
**(Masukkan bahan A dan B dalam sebuah mangkuk. Gaul rata. Perap selama 30 minit).
2). Heat 2 cups (or sufficient amount) of oil in a wok.
**(Panaskan 2 cawan (atau secukupnya) minyak dalam kuali).
3). Deep fry the marinated prawns for about 5 minutes over medium heat. Remove and drain the excess oil on paper towel and set aside.
**(Gorengkan Udang selama 5 minit dengan api sederhana. Angkat dan tosskan).
4). Heat 4 tbsp of butter and stir well until it stop bubblings. Then add in garlic and sauté until the colour turn golden brown.
**(Panaskan 4 sdm butter. Gaul hingga tidak bebuih dan masukkan bawang putih. Tumis hingga warna perang emas).
5). Add chopped chillies and curry leaves. Stir until fragrant, then add in the dry ingredients (C). Mix well.
**(Masukkan cili dan daun curry dan kacau hingga wangi. Kemudian masukkan bahan C. Gaul rata).
6). Lastly, toss the fried prawn in the dry Ingredients over low heat until evenly coated.
**(Akhir sekali masukkan Udang Goreng dan gaul rata dengan api kecil).
7). Then turn off the heat. Ready to be served!!!
**(Padamkan api dan sedia untuk dihidangkan).
