I'm truly delighted to share with you how I cooked my version of 'Masala Chicken Rice' and the main ingredients in this dish are Garam Masala, Basmathi rice and Chicken. For your info, 'Garam Masala' is a non spicy spice blend,  widely used in Indian cuisine all over the world including in my country Malaysia.  Let's get started!!

Ingredients A.
(Bahan - Bahan A)
1.- Boneless chicken thigh - 600g /
(Paha ayam tanpa tulang-600g)

Ingredients B.
(Bahan - Bahan B)
1.- Chicken seasoning powder - to taste/
(Serbuk perasa Ayam-ikut citarasa)
2.- Salt - to taste /
(garam-ikut citarasa)
3.- Garam masala - 2 tsp/ 
(Garam masala-2sdt)
4.- Garlic powder - 1 tsp / 
(Serbuk Bawang Putih-1sdt)
5.- Tumeric powder - 2 tsp /
(Serbuk Kunyit - 2 sdt)

Method for A and B 👇👇👇
(Cara membuat utk A &  B 👇👇👇)
1.Season Chicken pieces (A) with Ingredients B. Mix well and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
**(Masukkan bahan - bahan B dengan bahan A(ayam) dan gaul rata. Perap ayam selama 2 jam dalam peti sejuk).

2. Heat 2 tbsp of oil(or just enough to lubricate the pan) in a non stick pan and pan grill the marinated chicken pieces over low heat.
**(Panaskan 2 sdm minyak dalam non stick pan dan masak ayam yang telah diperap dengan api kecil).

3. Turn the chicken pieces occasionally to ensure that it is properly cooked on both sides. Once the chicken is done,  remove it and set aside.
**(Balikkan ayam sekali sekala untuk pastikan ayam betul2 masak. Bila dah masak, keluarkan dan simpan tepi).

Ingredients C. 
(Bahan - Bahan C)
1.- Basamathi rice - 700grams@5 cups(I used rice cooker cup), rinsed and drained/
(Beras basmati - 700gram@5 cawan(saya guna cawan rice cooker), - cuci dan toskan)
2.- Garlic - 4 cloves, diced /
(Bawang Putih - 4 ulas, hiris)
3.- Chicken seasoning powder - to taste/ 
(Serbuk perasa Ayam-ikut citarasa)
4- Salt - to taste /
(garam-ikut citarasa)
5.- Water - 740ml/ 
(Air-740ml)
6.- Thick Coconut milk - 300ml /
(Santan pekat -300ml)
7.- Garam masala - 2 tsp /
(Garam masala - 2 sdt)
8.- Ghee - 4 tbsp, melted /
(Minyak sapi - 4 sdm, cairkan).
9.- Ginger - 2 inches, sliced /
(Halia-2 inci)
10.- Red and green chillies - 2 pcs, sliced/ 
(Cili merah dan hijau - 2 bji, hiris)
11.- Lemongrass - 2 stalks, bruised /
(Serai - 2 btg)
12.- Red and green capsicum - 1 cup /
(Capsicum merah + hijau - 1 cawan)
13.Cooking oil - 3 tbsp/ 
(Minyak masak - 3 tbsp)

Method 👇👇👇
(Cara membuat 👇 👇👇👇)
1. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a heavy base pot, add garlic, lemongrass, ginger and chillies. Stir fry until fragrant. 
**(Panaskan 3 sdm minyak dalam periuk. Masukkan bawang putih, serai, halia dan cili. Tumis hingga wangi).

2. Add basmathi rice and stir until the grains are well coated over low heat for about 30 seconds. Don't stir for too long to prevent the rice from breaking.
**(Masukkan beras basmati dan gaul rata dengan api kecil selama 30 saat. Jangan gaul terlalu lama supaya beras tidak hancur).

3. Then add water, coconut milk, chicken seasoning powder, salt and Garam Masala. Stir briefly.
**(Masukkan air, santan, serbuk pati ayam, garam dan Garam Masala. Kacau sekejap).

4. Cover the pot and bring to boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to the  lowest point and continue to cook without removing the lid for about 25 minutes. 
**(Masak Nasi dengan api sederhana hingga mendidih. Kemudian kecilkan api dan masak lagi selama 25 minit tanpa membuka penutup periuk).

5. Then remove the lid and top rice with the cooked chicken and capsicum. Drizzle with 4 tbsp of melted ghee.
**(Kemudian buka penutup periuk dan masukkan ayam, capsicum dan minyak sapi).

6. Put the lid back and continue to cook the rice for 5 minutes then turn off the heat.
**(Tutup balik periuk dan masak selama 5 minit lagi dan padamkan api).

7. Sprinkle with fried onions before serving-(Optional)***
**(Taburkan bawang goreng sebelum hidang***Optional).
